During the meeting 'Odisha Development Forum' president Ram Prasad Tripathy presented the developments taken place, the communications and government's response regarding Berhampur Airport till date. President of the Chamber of Commerce E Shiv Prasad Rao said, "We are fully committed for all-round development of Berhampur city and Ganjam District. So, for establishing the Airport we will write, meet Govt authorities and fully support the call of Odisha Development Forum and other civil society organizations to expedite the Airport project for the development of Berhampur city". As per the decision today we visited Bada Bazar area of the city and a meeting was organized  by Mr. VS Vashana for the establishment of Berhampur Airport. During the last two days Members of 'Odisha Development Forum' met other organizations of Berhampur, Ganjam like Ganjam Vikas Manch and individuals wholeheartedly working for the development of Berhampur and Ganjam district since many years. Unanimously it was decided that f or the establishment of #Berhampur_Airport all organisations will fight unitedly under the leadership of Ram Prasad Tripathy. A 'Milita Mancha' or United Forum will be formed to carryout this Airport issue forward. The members pointed out that the State government knowingly not expanding the boundary of 'Berhampur Municipal Corporation' by bringing the suburban areas of the ci ty under BMC and Secondly, it is showing step-motherly attitude for the establishment of   # BerhampurAirport . The members pointed out, @ Apart from BBSR if any city has potentiality to run an Airport; is #Berhampur. @ As per media reports, around 40% passengers to BBSR Airport & 25% passengers to Vizag comes from this region. @ #Berhampur is a commercial city with around 7 lakh population
