Members of the Odisha Development Forum, led by President Ram Prasad Tripathy, met the South Odisha RDC (Revenue Divisional Commissioner) and submitted a memorandum demanding the early completion of the Brahmapur Airport and Ring Road projects.
The Forum officials held an extensive discussion with Shri Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, RDC, Southern Division, urging the swift completion of construction work at Rangeilunda Airport, the establishment of a Greenfield Airport in Brahmapur, and the timely completion of the Brahmapur Ring Road project.
It is noteworthy that two months ago, representatives of the Odisha Development Forum had met the RDC and demanded urgent progress on the highly important Rangeilunda Airport expansion project. Following the request, the RDC convened a review meeting and directed all concerned departmental officials to finish the airport expansion within a fixed deadline. Due to negligence and delays by various departments earlier, progress had been extremely slow. Although several ancillary works are still pending, the Forum members expressed gratitude to the RDC for the accelerated progress now being witnessed.
The team also drew attention to the extremely slow progress of the Brahmapur Bypass work for the last 10 years and highlighted that although nearly 70% of the Ring Road work has been completed, the project has currently come to a standstill. Shri Sangram Keshari Mohapatra expressed concern and assured that he would urgently review the matter with the concerned departments.
Additional discussions were held regarding four major pending issues of airport— realignment of the canal obstructing runway expansion, relocation of houses located at the airport boundary, completion of OPTCL cable work, and the finishing of the ATC tower. The RDC informed that instructions have already been issued to departmental officials to complete these tasks by December and assured that all related work will be completed within the stipulated time.

ସୂଚନାଯୋଗ୍ୟ, ଗତ ଦୁଇ ମାସ ତଳେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଡେଭଲପମେଣ୍ଟ ଫୋରମର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ତ୍ତା ମାନେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣାଞ୍ଚଳ ଆର.ଡି.ସି ମହୋଦୟ ଙ୍କୁ ମିଶି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ସବୁଠୁ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କାମ ଭିତରେ ଥିବା ରଙ୍ଗେଈଲୁଣ୍ଡା ବିମାନ ବନ୍ଦର କାମ କୁ ତ୍ୱରାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦାବି କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହା ପରେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣାଞ୍ଚଳ ଆର.ଡି.ସି ମହୋଦୟ, ଏକ ସମୀକ୍ଷା ବୈଠକ ଡକାଇ ସଂପୃକ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଭାଗ ର ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ସମୟ ସୀମା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ବିମାନ ବନ୍ଦର ସମ୍ପ୍ରସାରଣ କାମ ସାରିବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ପୂର୍ବରୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଭାଗର ଅବହେଳା ଯୋଗୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ତ୍ୱରାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇପାରୁ ନଥିଲା। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ବହୁ ଆନୁସଙ୍ଗିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ବାକି ଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ବିମାନ ବନ୍ଦର ସମ୍ପ୍ରସାରଣ କାମ ତ୍ୱରାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଫୋରମ୍ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ତ୍ତା ଆର.ଡି.ସି ମହୋଦୟ ଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇଥିଲେ।
ସେହିପରି ଗତ ୧୦ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁର ବାଇପାସ୍ କାମ ଅତି ଶିଥିଳ ଗତିରେ ଚାଲିଥିବା ଓ ରିଂ-ରୋଡ କାମ ପ୍ରାୟ ୭୦ ପ୍ରତିଶତ ସରିବା ପରେ ଠପ୍ ଥିବା ଆର.ଡି.ସି ମହୋଦୟଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଆକର୍ଷଣ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଶ୍ରୀ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ କେଶରୀ ମହାପାତ୍ର ଏଥିରେ ଚିନ୍ତା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତ କରିବା ସହ ଅତିଶୀଘ୍ର ସଂପୃକ୍ତ ବିଭାଗ ସହ ଯୋଗାଯୋଗ କରି ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପାଇଁ କହିଥିଲେ।
ଏହାଛଡା ବିମାନ ବନ୍ଦର ର ଯେଉଁ ୪ ଟି କାମ ବିଳମ୍ବରେ ଚାଲିଛି ଯଥା- ରନୱେ ସମ୍ପ୍ରସାରଣ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଏକ କେନାଲ ରହିଛି, ତାହାକୁ ଦିଗ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରି ଅନ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତା ପଟେ ନେବା, ବିମାନ ବନ୍ଦର ଶେଷରେ ଥିବା ୧୦ ଟି ଘର ଅନ୍ୟତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରାଯିବା, ଓପିଟିସିଏଲ ତରଫରୁ କେବଲ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାରିବା, ଏଟିସି ଟାୱାର କାମ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରାଯିବା ଇତ୍ୟାଦିକୁ ନେଇ ଆଲୋଚନା ବେଳେ, ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଭାଗର ଅଧୁକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ଡିସେମ୍ବର ସୁଦ୍ଧା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାରିବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦିଆ ଯାଇଥିବା ଆର.ଡି.ସି ମହୋଦୟ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଥିଲେ ଓ ଡିସେମ୍ବର ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଏହିସବୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେବ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରତିଶ୍ରୁତି ଦେଇଥିଲେ।
