Prof.  Prahallad  Panda was an extraordinary academic, writer, author, columnist and a communicator par-excellence who fought throughout his life for the backward region of Southern Odisha. Besides producing a number of meritorious students, he has written many books on economics and about 300 essays on cultu re and nationalism in Odia. Berhampur city was very close to his heart.
