Odisha Development Forum members visits business establishments in Bada Bazar, Berhampur

In the previous meetings held online & offline in Berhampur on 30 Sept & 01 Oct it was decided that members of 'Odisha Development Forum' will visit other #Organisations, #Clubs, #Institutions, #Universities, #Students' Unions, #Chamber of Commerce, #Bus_Truck Unions, #Army Air Defence, #Coast_Guard, #Neval_Academy Chilka, Youth Organizations, public Representatives in #Panchayat & #Block level, various #Religious Bodies, #Ganjam_Bar Association, #Media personals, members of #Press_Club and common public to galvanize the local support for the early establishment of #Berhampur_Airport.



As per the decision today we visited Bada Bazar area of the city and a meeting was organized by Mr. VS Vashana for the establishment of Berhampur Airport.

Forum President Ram Prasad Tripathy, Ms. Babita Patro, Swarajya Sahu, Laxmi Narayan Padhy, Rabi Kumar Gupta, V Jaganmohan, K Suresh Kumar, Balakrishnan Samantaray and others participated in the meeting.

To create awareness on Berhampur Airport establishment issue it was decided, Pamphlets will be distributed among public, offline signature campaign will be carried out in strategic locations, hoardings will come up in strategic locations in the district highlighting the issue and a meeting will be organized on 11 October, 2020 and all individuals & Organizations working for development of Berhampur will participate to chart out the future plans for the early establishment of Berhampur Airport.

Prof.  Prahallad  Panda was an extraordinary academic, writer, author, columnist and a communicator par-excellence who fought throughout his life for the backward region of Southern Odisha. Forum demands streetlights in Brahmapur

In a letter to Housing and Urban Development ( HUD) Minister Pratap Jena, Odisha Development Forum president Ram Prasad Tripathy has demanded to install lighting facility in various roads at the outskirts of Brahmapur city.   He said  now the city is growing very fast in its nearby rural areas but without proper lighting facility. Not only the new settlements are coming up at the outskirts of the city, but also various educational institutions, establishments, hospitals, industries and offices of organizations are coming up in nearby locations, which are coming under Brahmapur Development Authority (BDA).   However, due to lack of proper planning and vision many important junctions and roads of Brahmapur city outskirts and its nearby areas are still without proper lights and street lights.
